A 3-year postdoctoral position is immediately available for a highly-motivated scientist in the team “Non-coding Genome & Lung Disorders” at the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology (IPMC, CNRS & Université Côte d’Azur), located in the European Technology Park of Sophia-Antipolis, South East of France.
The position, founded by the French Plan-Cancer (National Cancer Institute INCA & Inserm) offers the opportunity to work in a team of translational and basic science researches within an interactive consortium of 4 research groups and use novel technologies to study the influence of hypoxia-regulated non-coding RNAs on drug resistance in lung cancer.
The project will use a combination of functional genomics including CRISPR technology and single-cell RNA-Seq as well as biochemical approaches to study RNA function / mode of action.
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in genetics, molecular and cellular biology and should demonstrate his ability to complete research projects independently, have good organizational and communication skills as well as a taste for interdisciplinary research. Previous expertise in molecular biology, particularly in CRISPR-related screening approaches, as well as competences in genomics and bioinformatics are welcome.
Interested applicants should send a cover letter describing their past experience, technical skills and research interests as well as their CV including references to: bernard.mari@ipmc.cnrs.fr.
Expected starting date: end 2018-early 2019.
